Nissan Qashqai
Brief
Produce two video podcasts from the filming of two live mountain-biking events for the ‘Nissan Qashqai Challenge’ to be broadcast on the Guardian website. The first video was a marketing piece to promote the final event in London with would be filmed and available to download from the Guardian website.
Solution
The filming of the first event held in Milan captured all aspects of the two-day challenge, from the qualifying rounds to the competition final and rider interviews. It was important to create a highly slick film with exciting visuals, in order to promote the event to the target audience.
Ensuring a quick turnaround, BrandNew returned from the shoot on Sunday and delivered the first cut to the client the following Wednesday.
The second event was the final, filmed in London, bringing the European tour to a close. Following the leading contenders, the video also showcased a Guardian competition winner who became the ‘urban reporter’ for the day.
The Nissan Qashqai Challenge 2008 consisted of five contests in Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the UK:

Result
BrandNew delivered two videos for the Guardian website, incorporating footage of both live events and interviews with key biking competitors. The first video successfully promoted the Challenge Grand Final, increasing awareness of the event in London.
