Sesame

Re-brand and commercial refurbishment

We developed a new brand identity for an established Leeds based sushi delivery service, and designed and built its new city centre urban farm store located in Leeds, to attract a new customer base.

We held an intensive brand workshop and found that the old name, Kabuki, had become synonymous with sushi and noodles and didn't reflect the new broader offering. We defined the rationale and emotional sides to the business and highlighted honest, wholesome and passionate as the core of the new brand position. From this, the new brand name 'Sesame' was founded alongside the strap line 'Purveyors of Good Stuff, conveying the client as experts in their field of catering.

The new brand with its fresh and wholesome proposition provided the foundations for the interior fitting of the new city centre retail space, the new website www.ilovesesame.co.uk and all new print collateral.

We managed the whole commercial refurbishment from concept through to completion and offered advice on customer flow, space planning, interior materials and design details. We also designed, manufactured and constructed bespoke counters and created modular merchandising units, incorporating the urban colours and textures into the design, bringing the fresh and distinctive new brand to life in a 3D environment.

Since the launch of Sesame our client, Louise Casey has been nominated and shortlisted for the O2 / Grazia Entrepreneur of the Year in the North East.
