Northern Art Prize

Brief

Design and develop an iconic brand identity for the prestigious Northern Art Prize, an award celebrating artists based in the north of England.

Solution

BrandNew created a title and brand that would be brilliantly simple, instantly recognisable, and the have longevity factor. An iconic triangular symbol formed the core of the visual identity, providing a vivid icon. This icon was used to design the suite of branded collateral including modular sculptures, a website, a gallery sofa, an 'Asteroids' computer game and the award itself.

Result

The brand design won a Cream Award 2008 for Corporate Identity and the 'Arts and Business Brand and Identity Award'.

The brand launch was a huge success generating over £78k of PR value across national and trade media.
