Atari: Sting

Brief

To bring Atari into the modern gaming age, creating a cutting edge identity for Atari Live and showcasing the future of the company at the O2 arena.

Solution

This legendary brand had been hidden away in the shadows so to speak. The brand had become nostalgic and retro, we felt it was important for Atari to move forward and to be taken seriously again. The solution came from the idea they were ‘switching the lights back on’ and are ‘back in business’. We wanted the logo to be quite revealing and dynamic in the way it animated to music, after all it was used to reveal games that the gaming world were practically frothing at the mouth about. The logo is primarily for onscreen use, this gave us the opportunity to flex our creative muscle and impress both the client and their audience.

Result

Atari Live was a huge success and prompted huge world media coverage. The identity we produced spear heads the message that Atari are back.
